IPL 2016, Stats: Kohli's brilliance gives Royal Challengers Bangalore massive win over Kings XI Punjab
Virat Kohli has been the man of the tournament so far. Whenever he steps out onto the field, it is a pleasure for any cricketing fan watching. The 27-year-old has been in brilliant form this year and he continued just that as he went on to score another IPL hundred against Kings XI Punjab at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Not even the rain could stop Kohli from scoring a century as the match was reduced to 15 overs-a-side. Kohli's brilliant hundred helped RCB post a mammoth total of 211 in 15 overs. Chris Gayle put on a hundred-plus run stand with his captain and helped the home side set a highly challenging total.
Kings XI Punjab had only one way to approach the chase and that was to go all out. However, they lost wickets at regular intervals and fell well short of their target as rain interrupted play once again before the last over of the match. Applying the D/L method, RCB won the match by a huge margin of 82 runs.
