IPL 2016, Stats: Mustafizur, Warner specials give Sunrisers Hyderabad 5-wicket win over Kings XI Punjab
Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their excellent run of form as they won their third match on the trot to go third in the Indian Premier League standings. Sunrisers dominated with both bat and ball as they subjected the Kings XI Punjab to yet another loss and kept the Punjab outfit rooted to the bottom of the table.
Being put into bat, Punjab never quite got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Shaun Marsh was the top-scorer once again for the visitors as he scored a valuable 40. However, it was Axar Patel who helped Punjab post a total of some respectability with an unbeaten 36 off 17 balls. Mustafizur Rahman bowled a brilliant spell to help restrict Punjab to 143.
In reply, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan continued where they left off in the previous game and put on a 90-run partnership to give the perfect start to the chase. Although the Sunrisers lost a few wickets, they held onto clinch their third win in a row and keep their playoff goals alive.
