IPL 2016: 'Uncle Virat' Kohli congratulates Chris Gayle for his baby daughter 'Blush'
It is well known that Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle share an easy camaraderie with each other. They have shared a lot of important partnerships for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the past and have broken into jovial mid-pitch celebrations. Now, with Gayle being blessed with a daughter, it is his RCB teammate and captain Kohli who seems to be the most delighted of the lot. Kohli tweeted a congratulatory message to Gayle saying he would be proud to be called 'Uncle Virat' by his daughter Blush.

The name of his daughter has raised a few eyebrows as it is a reference to the controversy raked up by Gayle when he had, during the course of an interview, tried to flirt with the Channel 10 presenter Mel McLaughlin saying the now infamous words, 'Don't blush baby'.
Gayle, in turn, acknowledged Kohli sending out a cheeky tweet thanking him.

Gayle had earlier taken to social media to announce to the world the arrival of his daughter 'Blush'. Gayle had also posted a photo of his partner Natasha Berridge on Instagram earlier with the message ‘The greatest gift and feelings anyone would want. Great experience witnesses every bit of it. Have to give my blessings to Tasha, strong woman. #Amen.’
Gayle is expected to be back on the 25th of this month to join his IPL teammates and prepare for the upcoming games. The explosive 36-year-old has not been his usual self in the tournament so far with scores of 1 and 0 in the two matches he has played in.
RCB will be hoping that the birth of his daughter can now bring about a change of fortunes and Gayle starts hitting it out of the park soon again. With the Bangalore franchise having succumbed to their second defeat in three games this season despite having the most talked about top four, they will need to pull up their socks soon.
Gayle remains the key to RCB's chances and he needs to start firing soon. Kohli will also hope that he starts getting involved in those big partnerships with Gayle once again.
