IPL 2016: Virender Sehwag posts a series of tweets hoping for Ashish Nehra's comeback
The former Indian batsman, Virender Sehwag, has been on a tweeting spree ever since Ashish Nehra of the Sunrisers Hyderabad injured himself during the match against Kings XI Punjab on May 15. The left-arm medium pacer injured his hamstring as he pulled up while running in to bowl and was later ruled out of the tournament.
Sehwag posted a series of tweets wishing well for his former teammate, although most people fear that this injury might well be the end of his cricketing career, which indeed is unlucky given the form he was coming into.
Nehra underwent a successful surgery on Tuesday to repair a high-grade tendon injury in London under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Williams, an orthopedic specialist. Injuries seem to be a hindrance in his career again as he missed four matches at the start of this year’s Indian Premier League due to a groin injury.
Picking up nine wickets from eight matches at an average of 22.11 and an economy rate of 7.65, the 37-year-old pace bowler was one of the most important bowlers for Sunrisers.

The fast-bowler has proved in recent times that age is just a number. His best bowling figures this season – 3/15 – came in SRH’s match against Mumbai Indians on 7 May, when he dismissed the Mumbai Indians batsmen, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu and Jos Buttler.
This year had been termed as the renaissance of Nehra as he had been in remarkable form, picking up 28 wickets in 25 innings, at an economy of 7.24 in the T20 format until his untimely injury.
Here are the tweets which Sehwag has posted since Nehra’s injury:
