IPL 2017: Brendon McCullum and James Faulkner engage in hilarious Twitter banter
Ever since Twitter was introduced, no matter who has made good use of it, athletes have ensured that they make the most of the social media platform. As Gujarat Lions teammates Brendon McCullum and James Faulkner showed, it is not just used to get in touch with the fans but also to poke fun at teammates and have a good time off the field as well.
One of the biggest advantages of the IPL has been its ability to bring players together. Even those, who were fierce rivals in the international arena have turned friends and don’t mind a little bit of banter both on and off the field
IPL 2017 may not have begun for Gujarat Lions but Brendon McCullum is already having plenty of fun. First, he suggested a solution to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s injury problems by talking up his former New Zealand teammate Daniel Vettori’s chances of taking part in the tournament.

The latest is his conversation with James Faulkner on Twitter, which began with the most innocuous of comments from the Australian all-rounder which accompanied a photo of him and McCullum together following a training session.
All it took was a picture of the pair together with Faulkner reminiscing about the time when the all-rounder bowled the former Kiwi captain and then the rest as they say, was history as fans got to see firsthand some hilarious banter between two teammates on Twitter.
Here is the entire conversation:
