IPL 2017 DD vs GL: Delhi Daredevils (DD) Today's probable playing 11 against Gujarat Lions (GL)
The Delhi Daredevils will look to give it their all as they face Gujarat Lions in a do-or-die encounter at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. They have been extremely poor this season as they are currently 6th on par with the Gujarat Lions.
A win today could boost their hopes for qualification but with the way the table looks, they will have to depend upon the other teams to finish in the top 4.
Zaheer Khan will continue to sit out due to his injury which means that Karun Nair will captain the side once again.
Here is their predicted XI:
Sanju Samson: The best batsman of the franchise so far, Samson smashed the maiden hundred of this year’s IPL and has looked in good touch in all the matches. There was a lot of questions raised when he was asked to open the batting but has silenced his critics with some exceptional performances.
Karun Nair finally proved his worth against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous match held in Delhi. With a 20 ball 39, Karun gave his side the much-needed start as he led from the front in the absence of Zaheer Khan. He will look to continue his good run of form as he looks to revive the Daredevils season.
Rishabh Pant was finally promoted up the order in the previous match and the decision paid dividends as he took the game away from the opposition with his quickfire knock of 34 from 20 deliveries. With the Champions Trophy squad yet to be announced, Pant will look to give it his all in this match.
Shreyas Iyer missed the first few matches due to an injury but has provided some stability in the middle order since his first match this year. The right-hander will need to keep the tempo of the innings going if the side are to get to a big total and will look to get a big score in the upcoming matches

Angelo Mathews was included in the previous match against the Sunrisers but did not bowl a single ball or face a single delivery with the bat as well. He will most likely be given another chance in the match against Gujarat as he looks to make a mark for himself this year.
Corey Anderson has performed reasonably well over the past few matches and with his all-around ability, it looks like he has cemented his place in the side for the rest of the tournament. His big hitting lower down the order can prove to be the difference between the two sides.
Chris Morris has arguably been the best performer for the Daredevils since the beginning of the season but has looked out of sorts over the past couple of matches. He will look to get back to top form as this is the most important stage of the tournament for Delhi
Kagiso Rabada might have given away a lot of runs in the previous encounter at home but will still continue to play an important role with the ball for his side. However, another bad outing for the South African could force the management to drop him for the next encounter.
Jayant Yadav played only his second match of the tournament against the Sunrisers and proved his worth as he bowled a good line and length as he troubled the opening batsmen. Playing on the same pitch, he will surely be given another chance to shine.
Amit Mishra bowled extremely well in the previous match as he gave away only 23 runs and picked up the important wicket of Shikhar Dhawan as well. He will be looking forward to bowl today as well given the slow nature of the wicket.
Mohammad Shami: The fast bowler, who is on a comeback trail played only two matches in the tournament so far. He was named the man of the match in the previous encounter for picking up the crucial wickets of David Warner and Kane Williamson. He will look to get some more match practice with the Champions Trophy squad yet to be announced.
