IPL 2017, DD vs RCB: Pat Cummins running out Kedar Jadhav is SK Play of the day
Pat Cummins produced the Play of the Match when he ran out Kedar Jadhav with a spectacular throw from short third man. The RCB keeper batsman was slow to start and ran lazily before realising that Cummins was onto the ball already. The throw caught Jadhav well short.

It was the 18th over of the game and Royal Challengers Bangalore had lost way after Virat Kohli was dismissed by Zaheer Khan. Jadhav, who has done the finishing job with aplomb for India recently was tasked with taking RCB to a good total.
However, Jadhav's innings was cut short by Pat Cummins's brilliant effort. Mohammad Shami delivered a yorker on off-stump which Jadhav managed to squeeze out to short third man. He ran while watching the ball and was rather slow before he realised that Cummins had actually picked up the ball.
The Maharashtra batsman quickened his running but by then Cummins had collected and made a pinpoint accurate throw at the non-strikers' end.
Jadhav was well short of his ground and departed for 12. Shami, who stood in the way of Cummins and the stumps, saw the throw coming and lifted his hands to allow the ball through on its way to the stumps.
Jadhav's wicket left RCB at 131/5 but Negi smashed a few boundaries towards the end to push the total past 160. On a sluggish wicket, Bangalore had piled up a rather decent total. Things could have gone more wrong for Delhi if Jadhav had stood till the end.
How the match progressed
Chasing 162, Delhi were off to a poor start, losing Sanju Samson for a duck to Avesh Khan. The under-19 seamer bowled his heart out to end with figures of 1/23 in his four overs. While Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant lifted the Delhi innings, Harshal Patel wrecked havoc by dismissing Iyer and Samuels off consecutive balls.
Pant carried on with Corey Anderson for company but Patel returned to capture the Delhi keeper and virtually seal the game for Bangalore. Travis Head's part-timers accounted for Anderson and Cummins and Negi took two towards the end to seal a win for RCB.
