IPL 2017: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Lions, Face Off
Royal Challengers Bangalore, itching to make amends after their infamous collapse in Kolkata, will host Gujarat Lions, another side languishing in the bottom half of the table. The rain had played spoilsport and washed out the Sunrisers Hyderabad - Royal Challengers Bangalore fixture at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on 25th and it would still be a threat when Gujarat arrive after a four-day break.
RCB badly need to play and will hope it isn’t another washout having won just twice in eight games. Gujarat have also managed just two wins from seven games and would be eager to make a mark. That said, their last trip to Bangalore in 2016 wasn't too memorable for them with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers piling on hundreds and RCB amassing 248.
Here, we make a statistical comparison between the probable playing eleven of both sides. The winner is selected purely based on IPL stats and not on their International reputation or talent. If a player has played very few matches, a comparison isn't done and N/A is listed in the winners' column.

Royal Challengers Bangalore 3-3 Gujarat Lions
The comparison comes up equal for both sides but given the history, Gujarat will be wary of another Kohli-de Villiers show, especially with both of them due having failed to click so far. RCB, on the other hand, will also be wary of a top order comprising of Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch and Suresh Raina. Their bowling hasn't been the best although Samuel Badree and Yuzvendra Chahal offer leg-spin against the likes of McCullum, Dwyane Smith and Finch.
