IPL 2017: RPS vs SRH, Face Off
After winning their last games in the IPL 2017, the mood will be optimistic in the camps of Rising Pune Supergiant and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pune won their game convincingly against a star-studded RCB batting lineup thanks to their disciplined bowling, whereas Hyderabad had to toil hard for a five-run win over Kings XI Punjab.
When the two teams will meet today at the MCA stadium in Pune, the Sunrisers will be favourites for the tie due to a more balanced look to their squad which has placed them as one of the frontrunners to win this tournament.

RPS, on the other hand, have been highly inconsistent and might find it tough to sustain the pressure on the defending champions on a batting friendly wicket in Gahunje. But with consecutive home games coming up, Pune will be looking to utilise the home conditions to their advantage.
Here, we statistically compare the expected starting line-ups of both the sides to find a favourite for this encounter. The comparison made is only based on the IPL career stats with the internationals not being counted for this head to head comparison.

SRH 5 – 5 RPS
The table doesn’t show an outright winner of the match but SRH have been playing as a team, whereas Pune have been heavily reliant on Ajinkya Rahane and Steve Smith to build a platform for them while the remaining batting lineup and bowling as well, has been below par.
Hyderabad have been a superior side than the Supergiant this season and will look to pile on more misery on Smith and co.
