IPL is a tough game for bowlers. Shorter boundaries and batting friendly conditions have made it extremely hard for the bowlers to flourish. Just after 17 games in this season, there have been 9 scores of 190+ in the tournament.

Most of the games are high scoring encounters and bowlers find it extremely hard to dominate batsmen. Some of best Indian T20 bowlers, like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Kuldeep Yadav have struggled this season. On the other hand, we have some surprising names who are dominating the tournament with the ball.

On that note, let’s take a look at the 3 best Indian bowlers in the tournament so far.

#3 Umesh Yadav - Royal Challengers Bangalore

Indian seamer Umesh Yadav is having a great tournament with his pace and aggression. In the 5 games he played so far, the 30-year-old has picked up 8 wickets at a strike rate of 15.

He was brilliant in the games against Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, and Kolkata Knight Riders. He took 3 wickets in an over against Kings XI Punjab. He also took consecutive wickets in the first two balls of an innings against the Mumbai Indians.

He is bowling at a good pace right now and is in the top 4 for most wickets. This is an important tournament for Yadav and a good IPL season will allow him to regain his spot in the national team.
