Delhi Daredevils suffered yet another defeat in this year's IPL as they went down against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday. With only one win in five matches, Delhi Daredevils are languishing at the bottom of the points table.
While players have performed well on occasion, they haven't been able to click collectively, resulting in Delhi's downfall this season. Even though they have big guns like Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Jason Roy and Chris Morris, for some strange reason they haven't been able to get going this season.
Inconsistent performances of Indian players is another reason for Delhi Daredevils' poor show. #3 Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma was part of India's victorious U19 team. In the U19 World Cup, the left-arm spinner impressed everyone with his control and consistency. He was successful in strangling the batsmen in the middle overs.
Apart from his accurate bowling, his aggressive batting in the lower-order can provide some quick runs to the Daredevils in the death overs. The Punjab all-rounder can replace the out-of-form Vijay Shankar in the playing XI.
