IPL 2018: 3 reasons why Sunrisers Hyderabad will miss David Warner
Soon after Cricket Australia sanctioned a 12-month ban on Steven Smith as well as David Warner, Amitabh Choudhary, the acting secretary of the BCCI announced that both players were barred from playing in the 11th edition of the competition.
The Chairman of the competition Rajeev Shukla stated that both franchises will be given a chance to pick their suitable replacements. The decision is expected to have a severe impact on both teams as both players were expected to lead the side but now will find themselves away from the competition.
SRH owe Warner a great deal in the manner in which he transformed a good side into a title-winning bunch. His absence is bound to have an impact and here's look at a few reasons as to why he will be missed by the franchise:
#3 Electric in the field
One of the assets which David Warner brings to any side that he plays in is his ability to stop the runs in most parts of the ground.
The left-hander was almost a complete fielder, with the ability to slide across the ground and stop a boundary as well as pluck catches anywhere in the field.
While the SRH have had some good fielders in their ranks in past editions, Warner was one of the few who could have been relied upon to save runs as well as hold on to 90 percent of the catches that came his way.
It is an aspect on the field which the 2016 champions could find hard to replace.
