IPL 2018: 4 foreign players who don't deserve to be on the bench

Australia v England - Game 5
David Willey was signed as a replacement for Kedhar Jadhav

After the auction, every team looked like s balanced side with a good combination of local talent and overseas players.

The maximum number of overseas player that can be bought at the auction is eight but only four can feature in the playing XI.

In most of the teams, a big chunk of their squad is just warming the bench while others perform on the field.

So out of all the overseas players who have been warming the benches for their respective teams. Here are the four players who don't deserve to be on the bench.

#4 David Willey (Chennai Super Kings)

David Willey was signed as a replacement by Chennai Super Kings after the injury of Kedar Jadhav.

His addition provided another seam bowling all-rounder option to a side filled with world-class all-rounders.

Because of the presence of Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo in the XI, Willey hasn't got any opportunities so far.

Willey has a great record with the ball for England in T20Is picking up 24 wickets in 20 matches.

He is also a handy player with the bat and has a strike rate of 130.77 in T20Is and can be a very useful pinch hitter lower down the order.

In case of any injury to any of the two of the main seam allrounders, he might get a chance to play.

But the CSK management will hope that they will not have to need the backup all-rounder at any stage of the tournament.
