IPL 2018: 4 players who have played for 6 or more teams
The 11th edition of the IPL saw the comeback of two teams and few players again going to new teams. What makes IPL exciting is that the same player who had smashed runs or taken wickets against an opposition can be picked up by them during an auction. Consider the example of Brendan McCullum who had played for KKR in the inaugural IPL. He destroyed RCB's bowling and scored an unbeaten 158 off 73 deliveries. After 10 years he was picked up by the same team against whom he scored his personal best score in IPL.
In this article, we see players who have represented 6 or more sides in the IPL:
#4 Thisara Perera
The 29-year-old Sri Lankan is known for his explosive batting and accurate bowling. Thisara Perrera seamlessly fitted into the finisher's role for his team. One of his most memorable knocks was against South Africa where he blasted 69 off just 44 balls and help his team chase a score of 300. During the initial years, he was being compared to the mighty Lance Klusner. On numerous occasions, he has helped Sri Lanka win from difficult situations.
He started his IPL journey with Chennai Super Kings in the year 2010. From being one of the most sought to not finding any suitors in this edition, he has completed a full circle. Due to his dip in form and a spate of injury no team was willing to take any risk with the Sri Lankan.
List of teams he played for
1) Chennai Super Kings- 2010
2) Kochi Tuskers- 2011
3) Mumbai Indians- 2012
4) Sunrisers Hyderabad- 2013
5) Kings XI Punjab- 2014
6) Rising Pune SuperGiants-2016
