While India desperately try to pull off a win in the ongoing Test series in South Africa, the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League is slowly setting up shop in the background. The auctions are fast approaching, and with the retention list of each team already out, fans are getting an idea of how the franchises will line up this season.

With the 'Right to Match' card in the picture, each team will try to retain players they have already established a rapport with. Several scenarios are in the mix and could form a crucial element of how teams actually perform in the tournament, as the retained players will form the core of the team.
