IPL 2018, DD vs SRH: Delhi Daredevils (DD) predicted XI against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
Delhi Daredevils are struggling to get going this IPL and after having won just three in the 10 matches so far, they are now battling to stay alive in the competition.
They will now take on the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad, the team which has almost booked its spot in the playoffs and in the clash between two teams who in contrasting positions, Delhi have everything to play for even if they have the remotest chance of making it to the playoffs.
Prithvi Shaw: The captain of the Indian team in the 2018 under-19 World Cup, Prithvi Shaw made his IPL debut in Delhi Daredevils' previous game against Kings XI Punjab. He got his team off to a flying start by scoring a 10-ball 22 and has been great form ever since. In five matches so far, he has scored 205 runs.
Colin Munro: The Kiwi has been out of form and has been in and out of the side but he should make a comeback for this home fixure at the Kotla. Also, Dan Christian was not very convincing and Munro should walk in place of him.
Glenn Maxwell: Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell is yet to set the 2018 IPL on fire as he has been getting out cheaply on a consistent basis. The team management will hope that Maxwell stands up and delivers for the team in the upcoming games and that his promotion at the top of the order will bear fruits for the side.
Shreyas Iyer: With Gautam Gambhir stepping down as the Delhi Daredevils captain, Shreyas Iyer has been in red hot form as the new captain and as one of Delhi's prolific batsman.
Rishabh Pant: The southpaw has been Delhi Daredevils' best batsman so far this season. Pant has been shepherding the middle order for the Delhi outfit with aplomb. Delhi would hope that he continues his form and play a significant innings for the side.
Vijay Shankar: The all-rounder has been a constant figure in the Delhi side and has come into his own with the bat in the past few matches. However, he has not done much with the ball and DD should look to extract more out of the Tamil Nadu man.
Rahul Tewatia: Another young all-rounder who has been consistent for Delhi both with the ball and bat. He replaced Shahbaz Nadeem and has been amongst the wickets with his leggies. He has also been promoted as a pinch hitter and has been doing an admirable job.
Liam Plunkett: He has blown hot and cold this season, but was decent in the previous match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will once again be entrusted to pick up wickets both with the new ball and then again towards the death overs.
Amit Mishra: The leg-spinner was brilliant in the previous match and got the ball to grip and spin, but could not take his side across the victory line. He should be given another go and DD would hope his form continues.
Avesh Khan: The young pacer has been mighty impressive for Delhi and he should look to go for wickets in this must-win clash for th Delhi Daredevils. With good pace and control he can hassle the SRH batsmen.
Trent Boult: The Kiwi pacer has 13 wickets in 10 matches and is perhaps the best overseas pacer in the tournament so far. He has always picked up wickets both with the new ball and old, but was not at his best towards the latter end of the match against SRH in Hyderabad and should look to iron out this chink in this reverse fixture.
