The Delhi Daredevils have unveiled their jersey for the eleventh edition for the Indian Premier League, with CEO Hemant Dua sharing pictures of the new look on social media.

The new jersey carries the same colours from the previous editions, with the red and blue prominent throughout the uniform, with the addition of an orange tinge which, according to a tweet from Dua, 'signifies the rising sun'.

The side profiles reveal that the left side of the clothing, along the side of the shoulder, is red in colour, whereas the right arm is completely submerged in blue.

"This is the new look @DelhiDaredevils jersey ... inspired from last year but with a #orange swoosh that signifies rising sun ... the collars have a cool red band ... it’s stylish and sexy ... Red is for energy and aggression ... blue is for calmness (cool mind)", the tweet from Dua said.

Earlier in the day, the Daredevils announced that comeback man Gautam Gambhir would be leading the side for the 11th edition that begins exactly in a month's time. Gambhir played for the Daredevils, his home franchise, for the first three seasons of the T20 tournament, before moving to the Kolkata Knight Riders from 2011 until 2017, where he won the title twice as captain.

The official jersey unveiling was done along with Gambhir's official confirmation as Delhi captain. "It is a huge honour to once again captain DD. To get this responsibility is a way for me to give back to the sport in the city," Gambhir had said.
