Guru’s team ahead of CSK vs DD: A Rayudu, S Iyer, S Yadav, V Kohli, Q de Kock, S Watson, C Munro, A Khan, K Pandya, J Archer, M Markande

It seems like Delhi Daredevils have a settled batting order finally, with Shreyas Iyer walking out to bat at No.3 in 3 of their last 4 matches in different match situations. What it does, however, is reduce the fantasy potential of both Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell, and so you won't be seeing me getting them into my team till things change on that front.

Despite what he did to Shivam Mavi against Kolkata Knight Riders, Iyer cannot be seen as a pace power hitter, but given the form he is in, the position he bats, how cheap he is and that Delhi play twice in the next three matches, it would be really silly to leave him out.

Colin Munro, too, looked in fine touch in his short stay at the crease against KKR, and he could turn out to be a nice little differential in this stage of the tournament. I see it as a risk worth taking, and hence I rope him in as well.

Trent Boult and Liam Plunkett have been decent, picking up wickets regularly, but unless you are Jofra Archer, I don’t plan on getting an overseas specialist pace bowler in.

There is not much to choose between Prithvi Shaw and Avesh Khan when it comes to the uncapped player pick for the day. I am going in with Avesh, as it helps me with keeping Krunal Pandya in, meets my combination requirements for the future matches and gives me a great budget cushion as well.

From Chennai Super Kings, I already have Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson, and the only other player worth considering is Suresh Raina. Raina has three in-form pacers to deal with in the opposition attack, and with one of them – Liam Plunkett – mainly operating in the middle overs, the damage is likely to be limited even if he has a good day. I can wait till the Kolkata Knight Riders match to get him in.
