It remains to be seen what Delhi Daredevils do with their playing XI today, as it will have a telling impact on how well their two best fantasy picks – Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer – fare in this fixture. If they continue to play at No.2 and 3 respectively, there is a very good chance you get an easy 50, as Jasprit Bumrah is the only threat to them in the Mumbai Indians bowling attack.
However, if Colin Munro or Jason Roy is brought back in for Glenn Maxwell, they could return to their usual position in the batting order. Avesh Khan is the other player whose spot in up for grabs, but other than that, the rest should be good to start.
From Mumbai, I bring in Suryakumar Yadav as the uncapped pick for the day; if he survives Trent Boult, you should get solid returns. I have discussed enough of Rohit Sharma, and with him failing even in matches he should be making it big, this is not the time to be wasting your subs on him.
Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan finding form could result in the Pandya brothers spending less time at the crease, so whatever points they are likely to give you should come from their bowling effort. The choice for the other sub, therefore, is between Bumrah and Evin Lewis. Both have their threats – Bumrah could bowl well and still not have the results to show for, while Lewis could be nailed by Trent Boult.
