Normally I wouldn’t get players batting below No.3 in, but considering the number of teams that would be having Rohit Sharma and AB de Villiers today, the venue the match is being played at, and the bowling attacks in play, leaving them out and them coming off is a blow I wouldn’t be able to recover from now that we are into the second half of the tournament.

Evin Lewis and Ishan Kishan are two players that I will be missing out on, as a result. I expect them to do well, but getting them in ahead of Rohit and de Villiers is a risk I can’t take. And the pair scoring runs isn’t going to hurt me either, as not many will be having them in their team, given their recent performances and the number of big-name alternatives available.

Despite the number of runs that have been scored so far at the venue this season, the deck hasn’t exactly been good for batting. There is a lot of assistance out there for spinners, but it has been negated by a combination of different factors: poor fast bowling to support spinners, short boundaries, and the dew in the second half of the match.

If de Villiers comes in, he is likely to replace Colin de Grandhomme, and that would be mean he slots in at No.4, with Quinton de Kock, Brendon Mccullum and Virat Kohli batting above him. Considering the number of left-handers in the Mumbai Indians batting line-up, Washington Sundar should come back in, but then RCB and logic don't go well together, so you might never know.

Navdeep Saini could get a look in, too, with Mohammed Siraj not capitalising on the chances he has got so far. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, aren’t likely to make many changes. Mustafizur Rahman in place of Ben Cutting, given the nature of the deck, is the only possibility.
