*The team would look vastly different from the one that was out yesterday, as I had to make last-minute adjustments to make up for the changes in the Delhi Daredevils-Mumbai Indians encounter.

Quinton de Kock opens the batting, keeps wickets, is in good form and set to bat on at least one really good batting wicket in the upcoming two Royal Challengers Bangalore matches. What possible reason can you have to not bring him into your team?

His captain Virat Kohli, on the other hand, may not have scored many runs so far, but he looked every bit as good as he has ever been in the short stay against Kings XI Punjab before Mujeeb Zadran castled him. Runs are around the corner.

In my previous RCB piece, I did say that AB de Villiers will come into my scheme of things once the other fixtures surrounding the RCB matches allow me to do so. With Mumbai Indians playing only once in the next 11 matches and Sunrisers Hyderabad once in nine, this is the time for it.

Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav and Chris Woakes will all be making steady contributions, but in a team that has absolute superstars, you can’t really be going for steady scoring options.

Coming to Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer is expected to start in place of Ben Laughlin today. That should be the only change in their line-up unless they decide to drop D’Arcy Short for Heinrich Klassen. There is also an option of playing both Laughlin and Archer together, but that would make their batting very weak.

Ben Stokes threatened to come good in the match against Delhi Daredevils before Boult got him with a peach, and with him declared fit to bowl his full quota of overs, going in without him is not a risk I am willing to take, especially when I can carry him to his next two matches.

Sanju Samson, who looks in great touch, is the next best Royals' option and could turn out to be an excellent differential as well. I have already taken a punt on Robin Uthappa to do the same role, and hence I can’t bring him in. If you haven’t, and you are looking beyond usual suspects, Samson is the guy - easy fit and can be carried over to multiple matches.
