Guru’s team ahead of RR vs RCB: V Kohli, AB de Villiers, A Rayudu, R Pant, K Williamson, S Dhawan, S Watson, S Kaul, M Markande, J Archer, K Gowtham

The only two Royal Challengers Bangalore players that I am interested in are already in my team – Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Moeen Ali, Yuzvendra Chahal and Umesh Yadav – in that order - are the next best picks.

While you can’t expect Moeen’s batting to consistently click, especially when he is batting at No.4, that he is also one of RCB’s first-choice bowlers should make sure you get something in return.

I have Archer in my team, but I wouldn’t recommend you to bring him in in-season fantasy if you are just looking at this match, as if Royals bat first, they may not have enough runs on the board for RCB batsmen to take risks against him and there is also the possibility of Kohli and De Villiers limiting the damage.

The deck at Jaipur has assisted spinners throughout the season, and I expect today to be no different. Had it been a flat deck and with shorter boundaries, I would have definitely brought in Sanju Samson, but not so much now. If you are looking for a differential, he still is your best shot, though, as there aren’t any real threats to him in the opposition bowling unit.

Heinrich Klassen and D’Arcy Short should make their way in place of Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes for Rajasthan Royals, while RCB should again go in with an unchanged XI. As far as uncapped picks are concerned, Rahul Tripathi, now back opening the innings, and Krishnappa Gowtham are equally good. I am going in with Gowtham, as Tripathi doesn’t fit my team combination.
