IPL 2018: Key seamers from each team
There's hardly a month left for the world's most popular domestic T20 league to begin. This year's Indian Premier League is going to be a blockbuster as it marks the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
Seamers have always played a big role in every aspect of the game. IPL has also been successful in bringing out seamers like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Sidharth Kaul etc.
Let's go through the seamers from each franchise who can be a threat to all the batsmen and will be up for the purple cap. The current purple cap holder is Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who will be up to win the purple cap for the third consecutive year.
Kolkata Knight Riders - Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc was the best buy for the Knight Riders in this year's IPL Auction. He was bought for a price of Rs. 9.40 Cr. It was certain that he would be bought for a whopping price, looking at his numbers in all three formats of the game.
He has played twenty T20Is in his career and bagged 30 wickets at a fantastic economy of 6.78. Apart from this, in his 72 ODI matches, he has bagged 141 wickets at an exceptional economy of 4.93. His dangerous bouncers and sticky yorkers haven't left any of the world class batsmen untroubled.
Starc has immensely contributed to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous editions. He played 27 matches for them and bagged 34 wickets at a decent economy of 7.17. He will be up to represent a different team altogether and would be looking forward to disturbing all the batsmen with his pace and bounce.
