What’s the story?

Jofra Archer, the newest hot property in T20 cricket seems all chuffed to play in the upcoming Indian Premier League.

"It is life-changing. It's probably the biggest T20 competition outside of international cricket, and I can't play international cricket at the moment, so it's probably going to be the biggest challenge of my life so far," Archer was as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

The details

Archer also spoke that he believes that his solid performances in the Big Bash League will hold him in good stead in the IPL. However, at the same time, he is aware that this might put additional pressure on him to perform.

The West Indian player who harbours hope of playing for England takes solace from the fact that he will have familiar faces in the dressing room like Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes which will allow him to calm his nerves.

He mentions the contribution of his family in keeping him grounded, a trait which will hold him in great shape in the IPL when fame, fortunes, and money are all up for grabs.
