IPL 2018: Kings XI Punjab unveil new jersey for upcoming season
The Kings XI Punjab unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The telecast of the event was carried out live from Punjab's social media accounts.
The jersey is made out of the same colours as in the previous editions (red and silver), although the prominence of the silver shade has decreased from the front, and is limited to the sides on the back of the jersey. The blue emblem, featuring a roaring lion, sits below the chest of the jersey.
The side will be captained by Ravichandran Ashwin, who played for the Rising Pune Supergiant in the last two seasons. The Punjab side is being mentored by Virender Sehwag, who was present at the unveiling along with the newly appointed captain. Former Australian batsman Brad Hodge is the head coach of the team.
Mohit Burman, the joint owner of the Punjab franchise, tweeted out pictures of the event with snapshots of the new jersey. Post the event, cricketers who are part of the franchise, including the likes of Karun Nair, KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis, posted snapshots of the new jersey with their name at the back of it.

They retained only one player, Axar Patel, before the auctions, bringing back the likes of Marcus Stoinis and David Miller, along with Mohit Sharma later on.
