Probable XI that KXIP will field against SRH
Probable Xl that KXIP will field against SRH

After defending a modest target of 144 against Delhi Daredevils, a confident KXIP unit will move on to Hyderabad to face Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are coming off an equally successful low-total defense against the Mumbai Indians.

Here's a look at the Probable XI that KXIP will field against SRH

#1 KL Rahul (Wicket-Keeper)

The Karnataka batsman (23 off 15 balls) looked in imperious touch yet again against Delhi before throwing his wicket away against the run-of-play. Rahul would be looking to cash in on his start and convert it into a substantial score against SRH.

#2 Chris Gayle:

The Universe Boss missed the last game against DD due to injury and is expected to return for the encounter against SRH. Gayle scored a brilliant hundred against SRH when the two teams last met in Mohali and would be looking to emulate the same.

#3 Mayank Agarwal

In at No.3 will be Mayank Agarwal. Agarwal who scored another breezy innings of 21 in the last match against DD has been guilty of throwing his wicket away on a number of occasions in the tournament and he'd be looking for a substantial innings against SRH on Thursday.

#4 Yuvraj Singh

Another disappointing performance by Yuvraj ensued in the last match against DD. The southpaw struggled for timing against both pace and spin (14 off 17 balls) and was eventually dismissed by rookie Avesh Khan. Time is running out for Yuvi, and the match against SRH will be critical for his IPL future.

#5 Aaron Finch

The cornerstone of KXIP's batting line-up, Aaron Finch, has been woefully out of form thus far in the tournament. He was hurried by the pace of Avesh Khan in the previous game and could only muster 2 runs. The match against SRH will be critical for the Aussie batsman.

#6 Karun Nair

Coming in at No. 6 will be Karun Nair. The Karnataka batsman has carried his rich vein of form from the domestic season into the IPL, chipping in with handy cameos, and he continued with the same against DD, as he anchored a fledgling KXIP innings with a mature 34, to lead his team to a respectable 8-143 in 20 overs.

#7 Ravi Ashwin (Captain)

Ashwin's technical acumen was on full display in the previous match as his shrewd understanding of the match situation helped KXIP defend a modest target of 144. Even with the ball, he was impressive, bowling an economical spell of 0-19 in 4 overs.

#8 Mujib Ur Rahman

The 17-year-old Mujib ur Rahman continues to grow by leaps and bound in the IPL.

Defending 144, Mujib took 2-25 in his quota of 4 overs, the last of which was in the final over of the match when he denied a rampaging Shreyas Iyer (57), to help script a memorable 4-run win for his side.

#9 Barinder Sran

Coming in as a replacement for Axar Patel in the last game against CSK, Barinder may have conceded 45 runs in the last game against DD, but he bowled a magnificent penultimate over in which he conceded just 4 runs, thus keeping 17 in the bank for Mujib to defend in the last over.

#10 Ankit Rajpoot

Coming in as a replacement for Mohit Sharma, Rajpoot bowled brilliantly against DD, accounting for Prithvi Shaw (22) and Glenn Maxwell (12) to reduce the Daredevils to 2-41 inside the first five overs.

Rajpoot finished with an impressive spell of 2-23 in 4 overs and is expected to be a pivotal part of the KXIP attack going forward.

#11 Andrew Tye

The Australian death-bowler has been a key component of KXIP's fast-bowling department, and he displayed it yet again against DD, where he bowled 4 overs and gave away just 25 while taking two crucial wickets in the process.

Tye is expected to lead the bowling attack in the next match against SRH.
