IPL 2018: KKR vs DD - 3 things you might have missed from the match
A fairly one-sided end to match 13 in IPL 2018 saw Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils by 71 runs thanks to a brilliant half-century from Nitish Rana and a scintillating cameo from Andre Russell, posting 200 runs on the board, batting first.
Despite losing three wickets in three overs, Delhi Daredevils stayed in the hunt to chase the target until the attacking partnership from Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell. But after the dismissal of the duo, the result was merely a formality as the Delhi team lost their last 7 wickets for 43 runs in a space of six overs.
Sportskeeda takes a look at the three unnoticed things from the match which had a considerable impact on the end result.
#1 Tag-team catch to remove Narine
Opening the batting after dropping down the order unsuccessfully in the previous match, Sunil Narine didn't make an impact with the bat thanks to brilliant teamwork by Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell.
Trent Boult started the innings with a maiden over against Lynn, who was clueless against the Kiwi pacer's immaculate line and length. Boult then tried short ball tactics while bowling to Sunil Narine in the second over after yorking him the previous ball.
Narine took the bait and went for a pull shot but ended up offering a difficult caught behind chance to Rishabh Pant who tipped over, leaping up, and Maxwell completed the catch while backtracking.
