Delhi Daredevils registered their first win of this year's IPL by defeating reigning champions Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets. Mumbai Indians batted first and openers Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis began aggressively and added 84 runs in the powerplay overs.

However, some brilliant bowling from Rahul Tewatia dismissed both openers and Mumbai Indians' run rate began to dip. Barring Ishan Kishan, none of the other Mumbai batsmen added much and Mumbai Indians added 194 from their 20 overs.

In reply, a brilliant 91 from Jason Roy helped Delhi Daredevils register a win over the Mumbai Indians. This is the first time in three years that the three-time champions have lost their first three matches.

With the match done and dusted, let's take a look at how players from both sides fared throughout the match.

Mumbai Indians

Suryakumar scored a fine 53

Suryakumar Yadav- 8.5

The 27-year old continued his brilliant form in the tournament by scoring a 32-ball 53. He was a nightmare for the Daredevils' bowlers during the powerplay overs. His dismissal turned out to be one of the decisive factors of the match.

Evin Lewis- 8

The Windian worked in tandem with Suryakumar during the powerplay. Missed his fifty by 2 runs. His dismissal broke the 102-run opening partnership, the 7th highest opening partnership for Mumbai Indians.

Ishan Kishan- 7

Looked pretty dangerous with the bat but could not go past 44 from 23 deliveries. However, he was pretty much average behind the stumps.

Rohit Sharma- 4

The MI skipper demoted himself down the order but that did not prevent him from ending his gloomy run in the tournament.

Kieron Pollard- 3

Pollard was horrendous with the bat as he scored a golden duck but took a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Rishabh Pant and break the 69 run partnership between him and Jason Roy.

Krunal Pandya- 5.5

Scored only 11 runs with the bat but was way better with the ball as he got rid of both Rishab Pant and Glenn Maxwell. He was MI's best bowler with 2/21 from three overs.

Hardik Pandya- 3

Had a poor outing with both bat and ball as he scored just 2 and conceded 32 runs from his 2 overs. However, he took a sensational catch to dismiss Maxwell.

Akila Dananjaya- 2

Chipped in with 4 runs with the bat and was extremely expensive with the ball. He was hammered by Pant and Roy and ended up conceding 47 runs from his four overs.

Mayank Markande- 2

His performance contrasted with his performance in the previous two matches as he conceded 42 runs from three overs.

Jasprit Bumrah- 5

Was pretty decent with the ball and conceded just 27 runs from his four overs. Kept MI in the game when he conceded just 5 runs in the penultimate over.

Mustafizur Rahman- 6

Was looking good with the ball and got the wicket of Gautam Gambhir. However, he could not defend 11 runs in the final over although he did well to bowl three dot balls when the scores were level.
