IPL 2018: Rajasthan Royals unveil new jersey

<p>

The inaugural IPL's champions Rajasthan Royals, who are making a comeback to the tournament after two years of suspension, unveiled their new jersey at an event in Jaipur.

The new jersey was presented by their captain Ajinkya Rahane, along with fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat, the most expensive Indian in the IPL auction, and mentor Shane Warne, under whose leadership the team won the title in 2008.

This year, JK Lakshmi Cement will be the title sponsors of the team and will have their logo on the chest of the jersey.

While the latest jersey looks fairly similar to the old editions, there have been a few changes to the design. A yellowish-golden band runs down the sides of the jersey, with a grey patch on each shoulder. An orange line borders the grey patch.

Warne, returning to the Rajasthan camp in the capacity of a mentor, spoke to the media about the strength of the assembled side:

"For me, it is an honour and privilege to be back. I have some wonderful memories, I got to know the city very well and will never forget. We have such a great squad and Rajasthan feels like home, and I have felt part of the Rajasthan history.

"It is the best squad that the Royals have put together. I have seen Rahane captain, and we have him as the best captain in the IPL. I am looking forward to helping the guys, it's been a while since I was involved with the game at this year. We are going to be back with a bang this year".

Rahane then followed Warne, speaking about how he was looking forward to the upcoming season:

"The preparation has been on track and the combination we have is fantastic. I am looking forward to learning some tips from Warney"

Jaydev Unadkat then followed Rahane to the stage and spoke about his involvement with the Royals for the first time.

"Really excited to be part of the Royals family. It is going to be an exciting season for sure. We have been practising hard over the last week and are more than ready for the games".

The Royals begin their campaign against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9.
