IPL 2018: RCB vs RR, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today's probable playing 11 against Mumbai Indians (MI)

The Bangalore team have saved themselves from getting back to the same place they left off last season with a win against the roaring Kings Xl Punjab team in the Chinnaswamy. However, they couldn't follow it up on the "Green day" when Bangalore witnessed a Sanju Samson special as Rajasthan Royal got the better of the Men in Red. While the top order have been dominant, as usual, the bowling concerns still haunt the RCB. Kohli's XI have to back themselves in this crucial battle against the talented bunch of MI.

As Virat Kohli locks horns with Rohit Sharma, you get a chance to play your own game of fantasy - StarPick is the new one on the block, and it has a lot of exciting features along with millions in prize money. You can create your StarPick team here.

The main problem lies in deciding the opening partnership. RCB would probably opt to drop Brendon McCullum, given the excess flow of overseas power on top and send in Manan Vohra to open with Quinton de Kock. Given his wicket-keeping duties, the Proteas batsman is likely to keep his spot in the playing XI, and Vohra can come in to replace Kulwant Khejroliya, who came off quite expensive in the last match.

Virat Kohli, without going big in the first two matches, hit a crucial 57 against the RR in a losing cause. While AB de Villiers has been doing well with the bat, he succumbed to pressure in the last game. However, there is hardly any option when it comes to the upper-middle order of the team with their irreplaceable presence.

The decision gets harder as we go down the lane making choices amidst domestic brilliance and overseas possessions. To begin with, Mandeep Singh along with the shining youngster from Chennai, Washington Sundar, are likely to keep their places with the team after scoring crucial runs in the previous matches. Colin de Grandhomme will look to make his debut with the side while Baz empties the overseas slot for him atop.

Pawan Negi will continue to contribute with his bat and assist Yuzvendra Chahal in the spin department. Although the ace leg-spinner has not yet played to his caliber, he will look to pick up crucial wickets this match. In the pace department, Chris Woakes, the joint-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2018, looks to be in great form and will lead the attack. Despite being hit to 59 runs in the match against RR, Umesh Yadav will still look to accompany Woakes, given his commendable economies of 6.75 and 5.75 in the first two matches.
