IPL 2018, SRH vs CSK: Three masterstrokes from the match
The match between the two sides from the top four saw Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting the Chennai Super Kings.
Put into bat, a middle-order blitz from Rayudu and Raina propelled the visitors to a defendable score of 182 runs despite a sluggish start from the openers.
Chasing 183, the onus was on Kane Williamson after three early strikes in the powerplay overs.
He was then accompanied by the explosive Yusuf Pathan, as the duo bamboozled the CSK bowling all over the ground but the Men In Yellow proved to be too good for the home team as they succumbed to a defeat by four runs.
Let’s take a look at three of the most impressive decisions from the match:
#1 Bhuvneshwar at his very best against Shane Watson
Shane Watson was high on confidence after a century in the previous encounter against Rajasthan Royals.
But his stay at the crease in this game didn’t last for too long as he was undone by some superb bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
After smacking him for a Six over the square leg on the previous delivery, Kumar was bang on with his variations to scalp Watson on the next delivery.
It was a knuckleball that he has used it to the perfection to fox many greats in the past. It was the pace off the delivery that saw Watson early in the shot as he could just manage a flick to the fielder at short-midwicket.
