IPL 2018, SRH vs DD: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) predicted XI against Delhi Daredevils (DD)
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils have had very contrasting campaigns in the IPL so far. While SRH are at the top of the table with six wins and two defeats, Delhi Daredevils are at the seventh position with three wins and six losses.
However, both teams will be entering tonight's game in Hyderabad at the back of wins in their respective previous matches. Both, SRH and DD, defeated Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur and Delhi respectively.
Sunrisers have been enjoying a three-match winning streak and two of those three wins have come while defending below-par totals.
Let's take a look at SRH's predicted XI for tonight's match.
Alex Hales had a pretty decent IPL debut, scoring 45 from 39 deliveries against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur. Although this isn't an archetypal Hales innings in T20s, SRH can always rely upon the Englishman to give them an explosive start.
Shikhar Dhawan hasn't been at his best in SRH's last three games, scoring just 22 runs combined. However, a batsman of Dhawan's pedigree cannot be written off and SRH will be hoping for him to bounce back in style against the Daredevils tonight.
SRH skipper Kane Williamson has been in remarkable form for them this tournament, scoring 322 runs at an average of 46 and has quite an impressive strike rate of 133.05. The New Zealander has played quite a few aggressive knocks in the competition so far and he will be the man who DD would want quick riddance of.
Manish Pandey has played some decent knocks for the Sunrisers this season and SRH would be relying on him to pile up runs during the middle overs.
Shakib Al Hasan has been a talismanic figure in the SRH setup in the tournament due to his all-round abilities. He has been decent with the bat and has been brilliant with the ball so far, picking up eight wickets. Provided the Bangladesh man is able to deliver with both bat and ball tonight, the Daredevils are in for a rough ride.
Wriddhiman Saha hasn't been very good with the bat but has been brilliant with the gloves. His keeping ability is what's keeping his spot in the team cemented at the moment. However, Saha would also be looking to make an impression with the bat during the death overs.
Yusuf Pathan always poses a threat to the opposition with his pinch-hitting abilities and he has given a glimpse of his aggression in the tournament against Chennai Super Kings. SRH will be hoping that Pathan gives their innings a strong finish.
Rashid Khan has been one of the best bowlers of the tournament without a doubt and the Daredevils batting will be wary of the Afghan when he comes in to bowl. He can also chip in with a cameo with the bat.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been missing out on SRH's recent scheme of things due to a back injury. However, he has recovered and is currently available for selection for tonight's game. Bhuvi is always a threat with the ball due to his late swinging abilities, not to forget his effectiveness during the death.
Sandeep Sharma has been the most economical bowler of the tournament with an economy rate of 4.40 so far. Sharma has bowled some impressive spells for SRH so far and he will be looking to give the Sunrisers a couple of early breakthroughs during the powerplay.
Siddarth Kaul has been SRH's best bowler of the tournament so far with 11 wickets at an impressive economy of 6.87. Kaul has been spearheading SRH's bowling in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and would be hoping to produce an impressive showing tonight.
