IPL 2018, SRH vs DD: Three Unnoticed things from the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils game

<p>
SRH won the match by seven wickets

In a must-win game for Delhi Daredevils, they were being hosted by Sunrisers Hyderabad at Uppal in Hyderabad. On a pitch that stays on the slower side, Delhi won the toss and elected to bat.

The Daredevils came all guns blazing as their young sensation in Prithvi Shaw took the attack to the bowlers in the powerplay overs.

However, a comeback from the home team ensured a late hiccup for the visitors as they could only post 163 in their 20 overs.

Chasing 164 on a Hyderabad track was tricky but Hyderabad backed their batters to come good against the visitors.

They responded beautifully before Amit Mishra’s spell saw them in a spot of bother. At last, his solitary performance didn’t prove to be worthy as the home team won with seven wickets left.

Let’s take a close look at some of the things that went unnoticed:

#1 Rishabh Pant looked sluggish in his knock

Pant had a bad outing against the Sunrisers

It was essential from Delhi’s point of view to get a high score after batting first. The team was much on course after the first ten overs before Hyderabad staged a comeback riding on their exceptional bowling performance.

It was a rare sight when their top performer of the league in Rishabh Pant looked sluggish in his innings of 18 runs.

The Delhi innings, which required a flourish at the end lacked the same as their lower-order didn’t come to the party.

Pant wasn’t able to go big in the end as his innings of 18 runs from 19 deliveries meant it was impossible for the team to end on a high.
