
IPL 2018, SRH vs KXIP: Player Ratings

Sunrisers Hyderabad defended a low score for the second consecutive time in IPL 2018, to defeat Kings XI Punjab by 13 runs at the return fixture in Hyderabad.
After being put into bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad put on a modest 132/6 in their 20 overs on a difficult batting pitch, courtesy of Manish Pandey fighting knock of 54 runs in 51 balls.
Chasing a tricky score of 133, Kings XI Punjab openers KL Rahul and Chris Gayle continued their good form with the bat and put on 55 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. But Kings XI Punjab lost their way once the openers were dismissed and were all out 119 runs in 19.2 overs to hand Sunrisers Hyderabad a 13 runs victory.

Shikhar Dhawan - 3/10
The Indian opener did not have a good match as he was dismissed by youngster Ankit Rajpoot for just 11 runs.
Kane Williamson- 6/10
SRH's skipper had a rare off day with the bat as he became one of the five victims of pacer Ankit Rajpoot and was dismissed for a duck in the very first over of SRH's innings. But Williamson was spot on in his captaincy and effected crucial bowling changes and also took two catches.
Wriddhiman Saha- 3/10
The Indian test wicket keeper's poor IPL season with the bat continued as he was out playing a poor shot off the bowling of Ankit Rajpoot for just 6 runs.
Manish Pandey- 8/10
The Indian middle order batsman led a charmed life with the bat as he was dropped thrice by Kings XI Punjab fielders, and went on to score 54 runs off 51 balls before being dismissed by Ankit Rajpoot in the final over of Sunriser's innings. As always, Pandey was brilliant in the field and took the catches of Mayank Agarwal and Aaron Finch at the boundary rope.
Shakib Al Hasan- 8.5/10
The Bangladeshi all-rounder got the SRH innings back on track by adding 52 runs for the fifth-wicket with Manish Pandey, before losing his wicket in the 14th over of SRH innings to young Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur-Rahman after scoring 28 runs off 29 balls.Shakib was brilliant with the ball and took 2 wickets for 18 runs from his 3 overs.
Yusuf Pathan- 5/10
The Indian veteran struggled with his timing and scored an unbeaten 21 runs off 19 balls by hitting one four and one six.
Mohammad Nabi- 5/10
Mohammad Nabi did not do much with the bat as he was to bat in the last over of SRH innings and scored 4 runs off 2 balls before dismissed by youngster Ankit Rajpoot. Nabi was also expensive with the ball as he conceded 24 runs from his 2 overs.
Rashid Khan- 10/10
Rashid Khan continued his superb form in the tournament by bowling an outstanding spell of 4-0-19-3.
Basil Thampi- 8/10
The Kerala youngster had a great match as he ended with superb bowling figures of 2.2-0-14-2 and picked up the big wicket of a well-set Chris Gayle, to expose Kings XI Punjab's weak middle order.
Siddarth Kaul- 7/10
Siddarth Kaul led the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling attack superbly in the absence of injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar by bowling an economical spell of 4-0-25-0.
Sandeep Sharma- 7/10
Sandeep Sharma had a very good match and picked up 2 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs.
