IPL 2018, DD vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) predicted XI against Delhi Daredevils (DD)
Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the team to beat this season and such has been their irresistible form that they have all but secured a playoff berth.
A win against an out-of-form Delhi Daredevils will put a stamp on their qualification and this should drive the men from Hyderabad to put their best foot forward.
Let us take a look at how Sunrisers will line up against RCB later tonight.
Alex Hales: The English opener has provided the initial impetus to the innings in the absence of David Warner and has been a perfect foil for Shikhar Dhawan at the other end. Although he has looked good in the few matches he has played so far, SRH would ideally want him to kick on and score the match-winning score up front.
Shikhar Dhawan: He was in imperious form with the bat when the tournament started, but then injury impeded his progress and has not looked like the dominating self ever since. However, the strokes are coming back and SRH would hope, he hits the ground running before the playoffs.
Kane Williamson: The best batsman for SRH this season, Kane Williamson has been the glue around which the entire batting has functioned. He walks out at number three and controls the innings perfectly.
Manish Pandey: The Karnataka-boy has been struggling to get going this season, but his presence adds more stability to the middle order. He looked in good touch against DD but unfortunately at the wrong time.
Shakib Al Hasan: The Bangladesh-captain brings in a lot of balance to the SRH set-up as he contributes to the team's cause with both bat and ball. He hardly got a foot wrong this season and will look to continue his good run against DD once again.
Yusuf Pathan: The big-hitting Pathan was the difference between the two teams in the previous fixture and his innings ensured his side romped home with ease. SRH will hope the vintage Pathan turns up for them again at the Kotla.
Wriddhiman Saha: He has struggled to get going with the bat, but then is as safe as a bank behind the stumps and this is why he will always keep his spot in the side.
Rashid Khan: The young Afghan spinner had two off days, but then has roared back to life ever since and has been literally unplayable in the previous few matches. He has got the ball on a top and no batsman seems to get a hang of what he does, which makes him the x-factors in the SRH squad.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to action after recovering from a back injury in SRH's previous game against Delhi. Though he was far from his best in that clash, he was back to his best against RCB when defended 12 runs in the final over and nailed his yorkers with absolute precision.
Sandeep Sharma: Another swing bowler who has been an inspired selection for SRH, Sandeep has been impressive with the new ball with his control and then towards the back end with his accuracy.
Siddarth Kaul: Perhaps, the best fast bowler for SRH this season, Kaul has been named in India's limited-overs outfit on the back of his stellar performance this IPL and this should egg him on to press for more success with team as the business end of the tournament comes rattling along.
