IPL 2018: Twitter reacts to CSK's sixth win of the season

Delhi Daredevils travelled to Pune to face the mighty Chennai Super Kings. CSK made four changes to the XI and were asked to bat first by DD. Even though Faf du Plessis scored a run-a-ball, Shane Watson's flourish with the bat helped CSK reach the 100 mark in the eleventh over. Raina came into the middle after Faf got out just after the 100-run opening partnership, but was bowled off Maxwell's first ball in the twelfth over.

Rayudu joined Watson in the middle but CSK lost the opener in the fourteenth over after he scored a 40-ball 78. Dhoni, who is in the form of his life, joined Rayudu in the middle and the two scored 74 runs in the last 5 overs. Rayudu was again run out in the penultimate delivery after scoring 24-ball 41 but Dhoni remained unbeaten and reached the half-century mark in 22 balls off the last ball of the innings.

Chasing a target of 212, Delhi Daredevils lost a flurry of wickets. First, their openers were back in the dugout within the first five overs. DD received a major blow in seventh over as they lost their captain because of a bizarre runout. Maxwell joined Risabh Pant in the middle after the wicket of Iyer but got out soon in the ninth over off Jadeja's bowling. Pant and Vijay Shankar put together a half-century partnership but Pant got out in the eighteenth over trying to meet the high required run rate. Vijay Shankar came to his own in the last two overs by hitting five sixes in the last two overs but that was a little late and CSK managed to win the match by 13 runs.
