IPL 2018: A tournament XI without any Indians
One month has passed us, the Indian Premier League has rattled along and players have come to the fore this season.
While there have been plenty of young Indian stars to have dominated proceedings, there have been many other overseas players who have set the tournament on fire,
Here, in this slider, we try to form a team of eleven overseas players, a team which will have the bases covered.
Openers:
Shane Watson
The former Australian all-rounder has been a revelation for Chennai Super Kings this season with the bat at the top of the order.
He has got the ball rolling right from the word go and this has propelled CSK this tournament. With a free mind and with great striking momentum, Watson has peeled off 317 runs in nine innings at an average of 35.22 and a strike rate of 163.40.
Chris Gayle
He had no takers in the auction till Kings XI Punjab made a late bid and roped Chris Gayle in.
And they have been served well by the Jamaican as he has walked in and slaughtered the bowlers all over the park.
In four matches, Gayle has already scored 252 runs at an average of 126 and with a strike rate of 161.53 with a century under his belt.
