The 12th edition of the IPL - IPL 2019 - is set to begin on 23rd March. The tournament is a big platform for Indian and overseas players to exhibit their talents in the shortest format of the game.

Among the overseas players, the Australians have always made a huge impact in every edition. Players like Mike Hussey, Shane Watson and David Warner have an excellent record in the IPL.

In the 11 editions so far, teams captained by Australians have won the title three times. Australians have managed to bag a total of 10 individual titles - 5 Orange caps, 1 Purple cap and 4 Most Valuable Player titles.

This edition of IPL has 12 Aussie players drafted across various teams. On the other hand, some of the big names also went unsold, such as Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja, Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa.

Most of the Australian players who have made an impact in IPL are batsmen and all-rounders. But we have also had bowlers like Shane Warne, who picked up 18 wickets in the first edition, and Andrew Tye, who won the Purple Cap last year.

In this article, we look at 3 Aussie fast bowlers to watch out for in this edition of IPL.

#3 Nathan Coulter-Nile (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

The 31-year-old Nathan Coulter-Nile is a right arm fast bowler who plays for Western Australia. He has taken 38 ODI wickets from 22 matches and 30 T20I wickets from 26 matches.

In the ongoing BBL, for Perth Scorchers, he has picked up 14 wickets from 13 innings and has an economy rate of 7.45. He is a handy batsman down the order too.

In IPL, Coulter-Nile has been a part of Mumbai Indians (2013), Delhi Daredevils (2014-2016), Kolkata Knight Riders (2017) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (2018-present). In 2018, he was ruled out without playing a single match due to an injury.

In IPL 2017 Coulter-Nile scalped 15 wickets from 8 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders. Overall he has 36 IPL wickets from 26 matches.

RCB have always lacked the mojo in the bowling department and this year, it will be a big boost for them to have a bowler like Coulter-Nile in the lineup.
