The Indian Premier League has always majorly been a tournament for the youngsters and the upcoming talent as it provides them with a platform to break into their respective national sides. But, the history of the tournament shows that apart from the young guns, retired players have also not failed to. he 2019 edition of the IPL is likely to begin from March 29 with the United Arab Emirates as the probable venue. The players are likely to go under the hammer on December 18 in Jaipur and only 70 players' spots are available in total out of which 20 are for overseas players while the remaining 50 are for the Indians. Here is a list of three such retired players who are expected to grab all the eyeballs and earn a whopping amount at the upcoming auctions.

The man, who began the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League with a bang, is still in contention to bag a huge amount for the forthcoming season. McCullum was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last season where didn't have a great time as he managed to score only 127 runs in six matches at an average of 21.16 with a top score of 43. He was purchased for ₹3.6 crores from a base price of ₹2 crores.

The 37-year-old has shown everyone that he still has a lot of cricket left in himself after he scored 343 runs in 13 matches at an average of 26.38 in the recent season of the Caribbean Premier League and is currently captaining the Rajputs in the T10 League.
