IPL 2019: 3 teenagers to watch out for
The 12th edition of Indian Premier League will begin on March 23. One of the best T20 leagues in the world, IPL not only entertain fans but it also provides a great opportunity to young players to showcase their talent. Over the years, IPL has given several talented young players to the cricket world.
In previous seasons, we have seen many teen sensation like Manish Pandey, Mandeep Singh, Rashid Khan, Rishabh Pant etc. who had made a mark in their teenage days. Many teenage players will be seen playing this time as well.
So here, we will take a look at three teenage players to watch out for in the upcoming edition of IPL.
#3 Sandeep Lamichhane
First Nepalese cricketer to play in IPL, Sandeep Lamichhane was bought by Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals now) for INR 20 lakh at the IPL auction 2018. In the last season, he played three matches and impressed everyone with his performance in all the three matches. He picked five wickets at an unbelievable average of 16.4 and economy rate of 6.83.
After his impressive performance in IPL, the wrist spinner was seen playing in several T20 leagues like the Caribbean Premier League, Big Bash League and Bangladesh Premier League. His performances in all the T20 leagues were quite impressive. So far, the teenager has played a total of 23 T20s and has picked 28 wickets at an impressive average of 19.60 and economy rate of 6.61.
The 19-year-old is a promising young talent, to say the least. In the upcoming edition of IPL, he could be proved to be a valuable player for Delhi Capitals if he gets to play enough matches. So, it will be very interesting to see how he will perform in 12th edition of the Indian Premier League.
