IPL 2019: 6 players Royal Challengers Bangalore regret not retaining
The Royal Challengers Bangalore slumped to the sixth defeat of their 2019 season. It is no surprise considering that the RCB had made some terrible choices by letting go of good players from the past seasons.
Not too long ago, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team used to pose a lot of threat to the oppositions and the opposing teams used to be afraid to step on to the field looking at their prowess. However, times have changed and the RCB unit does not pose the same fear anymore.
The dip in the fortunes all go down to the gem of the players that the RCB have not kept in their squad. These players are now performing outstandingly for other teams leaving the Bangalore franchise in tatters.
Let us take a look at 6 players that RCB regret not retaining.
#6 Kedar Jadhav
India's limited-overs superstar was donning the red jersey in the IPL in 2016 and 2017. However, the RCB decided to not keep Kedar Jadhav in their squad after the 2017 season and are paying a huge price now.
Since being let go of by the RCB, Jadhav has cemented his place in the Indian team and has proved to be a great utility player. Jadhav is having a great time at the CSK and is showing a lot of promise with every game that he is playing. The RCB will certainly rue releasing a player of Kedar's quality.
#5 Shane Watson
Shane Watson was a part of the RCB unit for the 2016 and 2017 season and formed the core of the team along with Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle. Although he did not perform exceedingly well for the RCB, he was worth buying at the auction by RCB if not being retained.
Unfortunately, the RCB thanked him for his services too soon and Watson helped CSK win the 2018 season. He clearly showed that he was nowhere near the end of his career and the RCB missed out on a genuine striker.
