IPL 2019 is approaching quickly, with just about 45 days remaining for the start of the season. Most of the teams would be planning their moves and strategies already. And this time, the teams will have to be very clever in their tactics as they will be juggling between the elections and the upcoming World Cup 2019.

All the team managements might have already framed a rough probable team that would take the field in their respective opening matches. On that note, here is a look at the best XI for the Delhi Capitals

Top order

The top order of the Delhi Capitals picks itself this season. Having acquired the services of Shikhar Dhawan from the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi will certainly have the left-handed opener in the team.

Giving him company will be the young prodigy, Prithvi Shaw. One wicket down and the New Zealand top order batsman, Colin Munro will make it into the side at No. 3. And the captain of the Delhi team, Shreyas Iyer will ideally bat at No. 4 this season.

Middle order

Following the captain will be the local boy of Delhi, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Last year Pant scored at an amazing average of over 50, and he has also proven himself in the middle order for the national team.

Following Pant could well be a string of strong all-rounders: Chris Morris at 6, Axar Patel at 7. This will give the Delhi team, within the first seven of the lineup itself, five proper batsmen and two all-rounders, and also eight overs of bowling - four each of seam and spin.

Bowling attack

Now out of the remaining four players to be selected, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada and Amit Mishra are front-runners. However, the 11th man will be very hard to pick.

The Delhi outfit has a problem of plenty for the No. 11 position. Players like Ishant Sharma, Avesh Khan and Hanuma Vihari are all waiting in the sidelines. And these are just Indians; there are also overseas players like Colin Ingram, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sherfane Rutherford and Keemo Paul, all waiting to be picked.

But there are already four foreign players included in the top 10 players in the team. This makes it very difficult for the Capitals to do justice to all these players while also giving them match practice.

There are many players who can win matches for the Capitals, but the XI they fubakky choose might have some surprises. Also, there are some front-line players who won't have replacements waiting to take the field in case they get injured, and that factor might also hurt Delhi's chances.
