IPL 2019: Full list of players bought by Chennai Super Kings
Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings clinched their third IPL trophy which is most by any team in the history of the tournament. Ahead of the IPL Auction 2019, they released three players - Mark Wood, Kanishk Seth, and Kshitiz Sharma.
CSK have retained 23 players - Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Dwayne Bravo, Karn Sharma, Shane Watson, Shardul Thakur, Ambati Rayudu, Murali Vijay, Harbhajan Singh, Faf Du Plessis, Sam Billings, Imran Tahir, Deepak Chahar, Lungisani Ngidi, Asif KM, N Jagadeesan, Monu Singh, Dhruv Shorey, Chaitanya Bishnoi, David Willey, Mitchell Santner,
In total, they bought 2 players at the Auction in Jaipur and have a squad of 25 players, including eight overseas players to choose from going into IPL 2018. Despite the fact that they filled their complete quota of players in the squad, they ended the auction with INR 3.2 crore in the bank.

Going into the auction, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) needed just two Indian players that will complete the balance of the side.
At the Auction
The three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions, Chennai Super Kings needed just two players to fill the remaining spots in the 25-member squad. They went for Mohit Sharma, who was a part of the CSK team in 2013, 2014 and 2015, for the massive amount of Rs. 5 crores.
Chennai Super Kings also went for an uncapped player, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who plays domestic cricket for Maharashtra, to complete the 25-member squad.
