IPL 2019: Full list of players bought by Kings XI Punjab
Preity Zinta-owned Kings XI Punjab had the highest amount in the purse going into the IPL Auction 2019. They retained Ravichandran Ashwin [c], KL Rahul, Chris Gayle*, Andrew Tye*, Mayank Agarwal, Ankit Rajpoot, Mujeeb Ur Rahman*, Karun Nair, David Miller* and traded in Mandeep Singh from RCB.
In total, they bought 13 players at the Auction in Jaipur and have a squad of 23 players, including eight overseas players to choose from going into IPL 2019. They are just short of two players to complete the maximum quota of 25 players and they ended the auction with INR 6.5 crore in the bank.

At the Auction
They went for an Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques to fill the spot of Marcus Stoinis, who was traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kings XI Punjab also bought an aggressive wicket-keeper batsman in Nicholas Pooran at the massive price of Rs. 4.2 crore.
The leading Indian pacer in Tests, Mohammed Shami was bought for the price of Rs. 4.8 crore. They also went for plenty of uncapped players like Sarfaraz Khan, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Darshan Nalkande, Prabhsimran Singh, Agnivesh Ayachi and Harpreet Brar.
Sam Curran, who has been in the great touch, was bought by Punjab at a price of Rs. 7.2 crore. They also bought South African pacer, Hardus Viljoen for Rs. 75 lakh. KXIP went for Tamil Nadu spinner, Murugan Ashwin for his base price of Rs. 20 lakhs.
