IPL 2019: One player in the auctions whom each team must sign to become champions next season
The IPL auctions are not far away and most of the teams will be busy in strategizing for the event. Both the World Cup and the General Elections will have an impact on the tournament which could change the dynamics of the auctions.
Most of the teams would be ready with the list of their targets by now keeping in mind the circumstances prevailing around the event. On that note, we have compiled a list of one cricketer each team must sign if they have to become champions next year.
Mumbai Indians - Jaydev Unadkat
Mumbai Indians have won the IPL thrice and they would look to add to their tally next season. They had an ordinary IPL 2018 and therefore, some players have been released.
Mumbai Indians lack a quality Indian pacer to complement Jasprit Bumrah and Jaydev Unadkat will be a perfect addition to the team. He will form a potent partnership with Bumrah and can bowl at both ends of the innings. It could well be a season winning signing for MI.
Chennai Super Kings - Varun CV
IPL 2018 champions have a slot for three Indian players and they cannot buy any overseas cricketers. CSK is covered in all the departments. However, they would probably need additional pacers and spinner in the team. Harbhajan Singh and Karn Sharma may not fire as expected and hence, local player CV Varun could change the fortunes for CSK. He is a mystery bowler and could provide that cutting edge to CSK's bowling line-up.
Kolkata Knight Riders - Sam Curran
Sam Curran has made himself available for next IPL and he could be present for the entire tournament. His qualities are needed at a team like KKR who lack an overseas pacer. Sam Curran is a good left-arm bowler who can assure a few wickets.
He is young and more than useful batsman down the order. He can be a good investment for the future and could also turn KKR to champions next season.
