T-20 has changed the definitions and the demands of cricket in many ways, gone are those days when teams had experts in every section. Twenty-20 cricket demands every player to be decent enough at both batting and bowling. Hence, all-rounders are considered requisite and are in great demand in all T20 leagues across the globe.

The Indian Premier League is no different. We have seen a few greatest all-rounders in the world plying their trade in the Indian T20 league, including Shahid Afridi, Shaun Pollock, Andrew Flintoff, Sanath Jayasuriya and Paul Collingwood.

Modern-day all-rounders like Ben Stokes, Andre Russell, Shakib Al Hasan, Hardik Pandya and James Faulkner have also performed a part in the IPL.

Hardik Pandya is an integral part of Mumbai Indians. He has been their greatest all-rounder for many editions. A cricketer who can finish off games with the bat and can bowl with discipline is always a game changer in the Indian Premier League.

He is also an exceptional fielder. In the IPL 2018, he scored 260 runs in 13 matches for Mumbai Indians and was the fifth highest run scorer for his franchise. He also picked up 18 wickets in 13 games and was their leading wicket-taker.

Shane Watson has been an integral member of the Indian Premier League ever since its inception. He was vital in the winning campaign of Rajasthan Royals (RR) during the inaugural IPL edition in 2008. Since then, the Australian cricketer has been a regular performer for all the franchises he has represented.

In the 2018 IPL Auction, Watson proved to be the best buy for Chennai Super Kings. CSK purchased Watson for $775,000. He scored 555 runs in 15 innings which was his best aggregate among all the seasons of Indian Premier League. In terms of bowling, Watson took 6 wickets at the economy of 7.94.

 In the 2018 IPL final, Shane Watson played a crucial role against Sunrisers Hyderabad as he scored a victorious century to help CSK clinch the IPL trophy for the third time.
