IPL 2019: Who will win as Sunrisers Hyderabad play Mumbai Indians
Sunrisers Hyderabad host the Mumbai Indians on April 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both these teams come into this match on the back of wins - SRH beat DC comprehensively, while MI beat CSK.
SRH lead the head-to-head record with 7 wins in the 12 matches played between them and MI have won the remaining 5.
Mumbai Indians come into this match on the back of a complete performance against CSK. Their bowling came to the party against the three-time champions and this match is the battle between two of the best bowling lineups in this year's IPL. MI are currently in 6th position in the IPL points table and Rohit Sharma's men are looking in top form.
Their opponents, Sunrisers Hyderabad, look one of the most settled teams in this year's IPL with three victories in the first four games. They have outplayed every opposition barring Kolkata Knight Riders. SRH are currently sitting on top of the IPL points table.
Here's a look at how things might pan out in the match between SRH and MI:
If SRH bat first
The wickets at Hyderabad so far have been brilliant for batting as SRH have scored 200 in the last two games played here. Their openers are in brilliant form and they have consistently given good starts. The team will back themselves to get at least 180+ runs on a brilliant batting wicket. The MI bowling lineup was in terrific form against CSK and they will be up against the best opening pair in this year's IPL on Saturday.
If MI bat first
MI batsmen have themselves been in terrific form with Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya coming to the party against CSK. So far, the MI batting department has scored 170 or more runs in all the four games that they have played and that tells you a lot about the quality they have.
Rohit Sharma and his men will fancy themselves to get 180+ runs against a quality opposition bowling lineup. SRH have been bowling really well in the last couple of matches, with their spin bowling especially good. Scoring anything over 180 against them would be tough job.
Who will win the match?
Sunrisers Hyderabad have always had the edge against Mumbai Indians over the past couple of years and they have looked great so far on their home turf, but expect MI to edge this one against SRH and get themselves the third win of IPL 2019.
