The Kings XI Punjab are yet to taste success in an IPL final. But the Punjab-based franchise have got a brilliant coach in Anil Kumble for the upcoming season, and one can expect a lot of tactical changes with the veteran spinner on-board.

The Ravichandran Ashwin-led will be gearing up for the auctions, with detailed plans on which players they should target and which ones they should release.

The auctions play an imperative role in the success of any team, and Kings XI Punjab would want to put their best foot forward in this regard. But the team management also has the job of releasing the players who were not up to the mark in the previous edition of the league.

The team hasn't made it to the playoff stages in any of the last five seasons. They would like like to turn the tables in the upcoming season, and releasing these three players could help them do that.

#1 Andrew Tye

The Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye will be under pressure to hold his place in the side. Tye could not deliver the goods with the ball in the previous edition of the league, as he only scalped just three wickets in the six matches he played.

Furthermore, the right-arm pacer was on the expensive side as he took a beating from the opposition batsmen. Tye conceded 233 runs in the 132 balls he bowled, for an alarming economy rate of 10.59. The fast bowler had an average of 77.47 and strike rate of 44, which showed the lack of control in his bowling.

Tye was picked in the side to be the death-overs specialist but he failed to put a lid on the scoring rate. Ergo, Kings XI Punjab might decide to let go of the Australian pacer.
