IPL 2020 Auction: 3 Players With 2 Crores Base Price Who Might Go Unsold
Half of the IPL battle is won or lost in the auctions. All the 8 franchises come well prepared on which players they should target in the auction. In fact, all teams also do their homework on which players they don't want to bid for. 971 players have put their hats in the ring to go under the hammer. Out of this bunch, 7 overseas players have set their base price at INR 2 crores. Meanwhile, teams will bid according to their requirements and the remaining purse is going to play a crucial role in the auctions. No team will spend a high amount on a player who may not give performances according to the price tag. 3 of these 7 players might go unsold in the upcoming auctions in Kolkata on the 19th of December.
#1 Josh Hazlewood
Australia's fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is a name you don't generally associate with T20 cricket. Hazlewood has played only seven T20Is for his national team in which he has taken 8 wickets. Furthermore, the right-arm has no experience of playing in the Indian Premier League. The New South Wales fast bowler had last played a T20I for Australia in 2016. Thus, it has been three years since he has played in the national colours.
Hazlewood is a quality Test bowler but he hardly plays the shortest format of the game. The 28-year old is known to hit the good length in the longest format but the same advantage can turn into a disadvantage in T20 cricket.

Hazlewood has set his base price at INR 2 crore and it is unlikely that any team might bid for him in the auction. Consequently, it would not be a big surprise if the Australian remains unsold.
