IPL 2020 auction: 3 players with Rs. 2 crore base price who could get huge bids
The IPL 2020 auction is right around the corner, and all the eight teams would be busy with their plans and strategies for the mega event which will take place on 19 December in Kolkata.
As many as 971 players have put their hat in the ring to go under the hammer. However, there are only 73 vacant spots up for grabs, and it would be interesting to note how each team will fill in their remaining places.
Seven foreign players have set their base price at INR 2 crore. But not all of them would be in great demand, while a couple of them would likely go well beyond that amount.
Here's a look at three of these players who could get huge bids at the auction:
1. Chris Lynn
Chris Lynn is in red hot form at the moment. The Kolkata Knight Riders released him at the trade deadline, but they might bid for him again in the auction.

Lynn has the skills to provide explosive starts to any team. The aggressive right-hander scored 371 runs in eight innings in the recently concluded Abu Dhabi T10 league, at an average of 53 and a blistering strike rate of 236.30. He was awarded the Player of the Tournament, and was instrumental in the success of Maratha Arabians.
The hard-hitting batsman has a rich IPL legacy too; he has scored 1280 runs in 41 IPL matches at an average of 33.68 and a strike rate of 140.66. Teams like Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, which need a top quality opener for their lineup, could go big for him in the auctions.
